The fifth in the ongoing series. Live pose.
I am going to take a page from
's book and go into a little detail about the creation of this piece (I find his information interesting so I hope you do, too)
This drawing took several attempt to get right, and much patience and enthusiasm from my model! The first few attempts fell short of what I was trying to achieve, and what was desired from the pose. I kept botching certain details, but the important thing is that each misfire actually taught me things about how to make the drawing better on the next attempt. While still not perfect, (what is?) I am pretty pleased with the final result. It all goes to buttress the fact that each drawing, even a "reject," is an important part of a person's growth and education as an artist!
